Body of Work Proposal for Painterly Printmaking

The body of work I want to make in class are landscapes, specific to a narrative I have created. Many of the landscapes can be described as abandoned and empty, as the scenes come from a post-apocalyptic world. Mixing a traditional genre of art, with a more contemporary theme.I plan to achieve the imagery through multiple layers, to achieve depth and variety of mark making. The images will mostly be monochrome with a splash of color, while mixing mark making, drawing and painterly.My goals for this body of work is to further build and discover my narrative by visualizing the world in which my story takes place. Also personally build a portfolio.
